Time To Shine
My tenure at Interbrand saw a lot of gum and confections work with Mars/Wrigley and it was some of the most fun work I've had the privilege of working on.
For this post, Orbit Gum! You know the one with the patterns on the packaging? It was crazy to think that you could have that much fun on a gum pack.
The key to this Orbit redesign was the strategy to print all of the extraneous graphics (oversized shelf ready logo!, violators, NLEA, UPCs) on the outer cellophane wrap so that when you opened the gum the buyer shed all of the obligatory legal info and was left with a cool on-trend looking pack that felt worthy of a spot inside your pocket or purse. It was a breakthrough idea.
So many talented people worked on these projects over the years I was there – both from the agency AND client side – that I feel humbled to put this on my site. I was just one of many helping to build this awesome brand.

I loved trolling social media at the time to see how people felt about the patterns on the packs, you should click on those and read some of the captions, cool stuff to have random people say that about gum you designed, lol.

Haha, this one if definitely my favorite. Thank you "askylitships" wherever you are.
